Since it's July, I thought the song "Independence Day" would be appropriate.


In many cases, people leave relationships with domestic violence because they just "get tired" of it. They've suffered through hoping it would stop, suffered through the anguish and the pain, suffered through the mental gymnastics of trying to rationalize why someone would do this to them. Then, they make the decision and act.

This song is based on the viewpoint of an 8-year old and tells the story of how her mother had had enough and literally burned down the house.
