This year's "Stand-Up for Sojourn!" was the funniest ever! After a brief introduction from Angela Bertoni, Sojourn's CEO, Donnie B. came up to the mic and said a few words about his comedian and his upcoming season. Then, the evening began with Mr. Showtime engaging the audience in shenanigans and hilarity! He topped it off with a medley of hit songs- from the Knack to Taylor Swift to Michael McDonald, changing into the appropriate outfits from clothing he was already wearing! It was hysterical! You have to see his rendition of Michael McDonald's "What a fool believes" as he starts the song in his voice, then stuffs his mouth with marshmallows and finishes it sounding like a McDonald clone! Unforgettable!
A special thank you to Aggie Levi & Dick Levi of Levi, Ray & Shoup for sponsoring Sojourn Shelter & Services' 6th Annual Stand-Up for Sojourn! Comedy Event again this year!
A shout out to Audrey Kondelis of Pole Barn Chic Events for the amazing venue, Don Bassford of Donnie B's Comedy for the continued partnership and Mr. Showtime David Scott for the hilarious show! Also, a huge thanks to Rob Staff of Portrait Perfect by Rob for capturing these priceless moments, Cory Brown of Music by Cory Brown for the incredible tunes (hey! congratulations on being the Best of Springfield's BEST Wedding DJ 2025!) and Nelson's Catering of Central Illinois for the delicious food! Friday night was full of laughs and fun! We appreciate all of our sponsors, donors, Board members, staff and attendees who made this event successful, netting over $22K for the fight against domestic violence.

Thank you to all our sponsors!
